Viajero Mexico City is on a pedestrian street near the most iconic places in the city. This Mexico City hostel is an old neighborhood converted into a hostel full of design and urban art that honors the rich past and present of the Mexican capital.

We are right in front of the old Colegio de San Ildefonso. You can also visit the Palace of Fine Arts, the Zócalo, the Cathedral, the Templo Mayor, La Alameda park, and much more, just a few minutes' walk from this hostel in Mexico City.

After a long day of sightseeing, we'll be waiting for you at the hostel with fantastic cocktails and dishes so you can relax on the patio and meet and chat with other travelers. If remote work is your thing, we have adapted co-work spaces so you can attend a meeting or a call with your friends.

If you come in a group and want to stay with everyone in the same room, you can do it in dormitories of bunk beds. Or, if you prefer more privacy, we have private rooms so you can relax after a day on the town or before heading out to enjoy the nightlife.


  *Note: we are a hostel for people over 18. You must be 18 or over to stay with us.


Private Rooms

Stay in single rooms with double or single beds for two or three people. Some rooms have a private bathroom and breakfast included in the rate.

Shared Bedrooms

If you prefer to share a room, stay in a dormitory with bunk beds for six, eight, ten, twelve, or fourteen people. All beds have curtains, so you have more privacy during your stay, and lockers to store your things. Some of these rooms are for women only.

Activities in Viajero Mexico City so you can enjoy your stay

Get to know Mexico City and it culture, during the Xochimilco tour and free walking tour. Ask for the schedule of this activities at the front desk. If you want to learn about history, go on the pyramids tour. And for some entertainment, join us on the wrestling tour. We have Spanish classes if you are learning Spanish and want to perfect it.

Show your skills and knowledge in the ping pong tournament, pop quiz nights, and trivia nights. We also have karaoke, Mexican nights, and movie nights for you to share with travelers from other parts of the world.

How to get to this hostel in Mexico City?

  • If you arrive at the airport, we are 7km away. You can take a taxi and give the address San Ildefonso #38, Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México. In 15 minutes, you will be here.
  • If you come by Metro, the nearest station is a 3-block walk away. Get off at “Zócalo” or “Allende”.
  • If you come by Metrobus, use the "República de Argentina" stop, and you must walk one block to reach the hostel.
  • If you come by car, the closest parking lots are at Donceles #91 and Palma Norte #503

*Important! The entrance to Viajero Mexico City is on a pedestrian street. There are two ways to get to the hostel: Calle del Carmen and Calle Republica Argentina we recommend the second option for its easy access and security.*
