TIPS FOR BEING A GOOD TRAVELER (Environmental Impact)

Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth or lathering your hands.

 

Between 5 and 10 liters of water are lost per minute!

Avoid using single-use plastics like water bottles, food storage containers, and straws, among others.

  • Choose your suitcase or bag carefully: Consider your luggage's anatomy and likely lifespan. What is it made of? Does it have a long lifespan? Is it lightweight? Every kilogram counts; find the balance! 

 

  • Pack a reusable bottle to reduce plastic use. At Viajero Hostels, we have water dispensers, so you can refill them whenever needed.

 

  • Prepare your zero-waste travel kit. For example, a coffee cup to refill every morning, a metal straw, and a set of non-disposable or bamboo cutlery, so you don't need plastic utensils.
