HOW TO GET TO THIS HOSTEL IN LA FORTUNA?

• By bus:

Buses to La Fortuna depart from Terminal Atlántico Norte (formerly known as Terminal 7-10).

The journey takes approximately 4 to 6 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Parts of the route have one lane in each direction and may be affected by heavy rain.

Direct bus: usually one departure per day, around 8:30 a.m. Schedules may vary, so we recommend checking directly at the terminal.

Bus with connection (more frequent option): take a bus from Terminal Atlántico Norte to Ciudad Quesada (departures approximately every 30 minutes), then transfer to a bus to La Fortuna.

💲 Approximate cost: USD 9.

From the La Fortuna bus terminal, the hostel is just two blocks away. No taxi is needed.

•From the airport by bus:

You can also take the bus Juan Santamaría International Airport → Ciudad Quesada, which passes in front of the airport, and then connect to La Fortuna.
This option can reduce travel time by about one hour.

• By taxi/Uber/Didi:
From Juan Santamaría International Airport or from San José, you can take an authorized taxi or request a ride through Uber or Didi. The trip to La Fortuna takes between 2.5 and 3 hours, depending on traffic.

TIP:In some areas of Costa Rica, ride-hailing apps work better in urban zones; if you plan to use them, try to coordinate your ride in advance.
